Organic Mosaic Assemblage – May 9, 2026

This style of mosaic is inspired by the timeless works of Antoni Gaudi, Raymond Isidore, Simon Rodia, Ilana Shafir and others.

In this ONE-DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP, you’ll create a 12” x 18” Organic Mosaic Assemblage for wall display. No grout will be applied. It will be self grouted in a bed of thin set mortar . We will offer insights into the setting techniques and the unique details that define this mosaic style. Materials may include special pieces you’ve collected, along with unique tesserae and one of a kind items we’ve been saving just for this class. These include handmade ceramic pieces, china, natural stones, pebbles, shells, metal, drift wood, found objects and more.

Project: 12” x 18” x 1/2” pre-hung Wedi board wall hanging suitable for indoor or outdoor display.
